Let's Go Fishing 2018 - Success!!!

Again our Lets go fishing event was a great success with more than 90 entrants taking part over the 5 Thursdays in August.

All who took part caught plenty of fish including; Roach, Bream, Carp and Tench - brining smiles of excitement each time the float dipped under.

Each participant was given a full hour one-to-one lesson with one of our coaches, after which they received a starter kit and certificate of participation. This year was helped with donations of tackle from the Environment Agency backed National Fishing Month, and Drennon tackle supplies, helping to offset costs for which the club is most grateful.

Each year our two coaches, Richard Chalton and Simon Windsor, choose two individuals, one male one female, from all who took part. They are noted as their most aspiring pupils and receive a trophy and extra tackle, to really get them underway for future expeditions.

This year Rebekah and Jem, both 11 yrs old, were our two stars. Well done to them both and wishing them great angling ventures in the future.
