Snagged line removal

Matt has been out in the boat today in the pouring rain removing all the snagged lines and hooks from trees around the pegs. A number of lines were found in the overhanging trees around peg 19 which appears to be a popular spot for loosing leads.

Also found was an old spomb and a pike lure. I'm pleased to say that all hooks found, appart from the lure, were barbless and reasonably sized. It seems nobody has been fishing for sharks recently.

If you get caught up in a tree or snag and it is a considerable distance from the bank and line has to be cut, please notify the bailiff team ASAP so it can be retrieved. This is to protect our water and wildlife.

Great work 👏
